MISSION STATEMENT

 

To provide the citizens of Robeson County with the maximum opportunity to become registered voters and to vote all primaries and election irrespective of race, sex, religion, age, party affiliation or physical disabilities and provide the citizens with information about voter registration and elections.

 

 Free Photo ID Cards are now available at our office.
Interested persons must be a registered voter within the county and complete a request form.

NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that the members of the Robeson County Board of Elections will hold a protest hearing on June 25th, 2024, at 6:00 PM regarding the 2023 Mayoral election for the Town of Pembroke. The hearing will be held in the Robeson County Board of Elections boardroom located at 800 N. Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC. The protester, any candidate likely to be affected, and any person determined by the Board to have a significant and relevant interest in the resolution of the protest shall have an opportunity to introduce evidence. All witnesses shall be placed under oath before testifying. Upon request by a protester, any candidate, or interested party, the Chair or any two members of the County Board may issue subpoenas at their discretion, for persons or documents. Any party who is represented by counsel shall be responsible for issuing any subpoenas they deem necessary. Any request for board-issued subpoenas must be submitted to director Tina Bledsoe by 5:00 PM on Monday, June 17th, 2024.

Voters will be asked to show photo ID when voting in North Carolina.
For most voters, they will simply show their driver's license. But there are many other acceptable photo IDs. All voters will be allowed to vote with or without a photo ID.

If a voter cannot show a photo ID when voting in person, they can still vote by filling out an ID Exception Form. For absentee-by-mail voters, if they are unable to include a copy of their photo ID in their ballot return envelope, they can also fill out an ID Exception Form with their ballot. Robeson County Board of Elections meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm, held at the Robeson BOE Office, 800 North Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Regular Scheduled Meetings may be canceled or re-scheduled as needed.
